Ivisan serves as the main gateway of the Province of Capiz to the rest of the Provinces in the Island of Panay.Bounded
by the Municipality of Sapian on the west. Panitan on the southeast,
Sigma on the south, Roxas City on the northeast, and Sapian Bay on the
north.
It is 15 kilometers from Roxas City through the national highway and approximately 9 kilometers from the national road.

It is 15 kilometers through the National Highway and approximately 9 kilometers through Provincial road. Ivisan derived it's name from "Ibis"- a delicious fish abound the area and Ivisan is organized into a "pueblo" in the year 1815. Municipality of Ivisan is divided into 15 barangays; 2 Urban 13 Rural namely, Poblacion Norte, Poblacion Sur, Agmalobo, Agustin Navara, Basiao, Balaring, Ilaya-Ivisan, Cudian, Cabugao, Malocloc Norte, Malocloc Sur, Matnog, Mianay, Ondoy, And Sta. Cruz.
All barangays are accessible by land transportation. Mode of transportation are public utility jeepney, trisikad, motor tricycle.Motorized boat in alternative means of transportation in the coastal barangays.There are many nice places that you can go to enjoy or to relax, like in Agustin Navarra where you can find the Tumbukon Falls a Natural and Unspoiled falls below the watershed area. Balaring a baranggay have a spot Mabaay Island an island w/ beach, Can view corrals & Varied marine species. and Basiao, RBM Beach Resort, Umbrella Beach Resort, L.A. Beach Resort,Sta. Ana farm Resort located in Ilaya-Ivisan and many more.
